Tomahawk Chops and Grill

Tomahawk Chops and Grill in Kapitolyo, Pasig city is one of the go-to restaurants for foodies craving for some grilled chops like me.

Aside from their famous Grilled Chops and Baby Back Ribs, Tomahawk has a wide variety of menu. Ranging from pastas to steaks to chicken and waffles. (Menu cr: Zomato)

Of course I ordered the best seller - Tomahawk Grilled Chops (325php). Their house special - inch-thick bone-in porkloin chops with their signature sauce. It comes with white rice, coleslaw and a side dish. For side dish, I ordered grilled corn.

Kate ordered Grilled Baby Back Ribs (425php) comes with fries, coleslaw and two sides. For the sides, Kate got Mac & Cheese and dirty rice. Haha #THAkaw 🐷

For drinks, we ordered Premium Iced Tea (60php) which is their house blend iced tea.

Two thumbs up for their Grilled Chops and Baby Back Ribs. We'll be back for more Tomahawk! (I hope they still have their unli wings and ribs promo 🐷)

The Yard at Xavierville Q.C.

The newest food park of 2016, The Yard at 83 Xavierville Avenue, Loyola Heights, Quezon City can be hard to reach via commute. We actually got lost getting here because we missed the right turn to Xavierville St., eventually leading us to different dark streets inside the village. HAHA. Imagine we were going around in narrow streets with weird names looking for Xavierville St. at 9 in the evening and we're almost hopeless but thanks to Waze we made it! 😂

You'll see this sign upon entering inside

The first thing we bought was a cocktail drink good for 2 at Epicure. We ordered Citrus Blue 1L (250php) which is a mixture of Blue Curacao, Lemon and gummy sharks.

Good for 2!

Some of their alcoholic drinks (cr: Zomato)

Epicure also has non-alcoholic drinks. Kate ended up drinking the Blue Curacao alone since I didn't enjoy it much. Also, can't really drink since I needed to drive home. #driverproblems 😂

And instead I ordered a Brownie Nutella Fudge milkshake (160php) from Milkshake Lab. ❤

For appetizers we had Heart attack - Fries with Bacon fried like chicken with BBQ sauce (190php - solo / 260php - barkada) from All About Fryday.

Solo size (still good for 2)

We also ordered Cheesy Beef Salpicao Nachos (160php) from El Chapo's.

Since it was past dinner time and we haven't had dinner yet, we had to order rice meals (lame excuse, eh?).

I ordered M&C Buffalo Wings (140php - 4pcs / 160php - 6pcs) from Mac and Chicks. And of course Kate looked around to find some rice meal with egg and found this beef bibimbap meal (145php) on Little Wondang on the 2nd floor.

For dessert, we went upstairs to have nitrogen ice cream in Ice Box. We ordered Kofee Krunch -  coffee ice cream, crushed chips ahoy and white chocolate shavings (140php). At this point, Kate fell asleep since she got tipsy from drinking the cocktail mix from Epicure so it was me who mostly ate the ice cream. 😂

Cafe Voila @ Crosswinds Tagaytay

If you would like a vacation which is near to the city then Tagaytay is the place to go. Going to Tagaytay is just a 2-3hrs drive from Manila. It's just like being stuck on EDSA during rush hour. 😂

So after going to Caleruega church (which I'll post separately) we went to have lunch in Cafe Voila in Crosswinds Tagaytay. Cafe Voila is just 30 minutes from Caleruega.

Cafe Voila is a Thai inspired restaurant located in a Swiss luxury place which is in Crosswinds.

We arrived there by 2pm and it was full inside but we were able to sit comfortably on the couch outside which is nicer! We were able to see the fog from where we are seated.

Their best seller is Café Voi la Signature Chicken Satay which costs 395php for 3pcs and 495php for 5pcs. It comes with Java rice and vinegar and peanut sauce.

Yum yum yum!

Here are other of their best sellers / house specialties: (Menu from zomato: https://www.zomato.com/manila/cafe-voi-la-tagaytay-city-tagaytay-city/menu)

And since I'm with an "egg is life" person, she ordered Garlic Beef Tapa (375php) part of their All Day breakfast which comes with 2 sunny side up eggs, garlic rice and flavorful beef tapa.

Egg cravings satisfied! 😂🍳

We also ordered Cafe Voi La Special Brick Oven Pizza (395php) which has salami, pepperoni, onion, mushroom, capsicum and cheese. Yum! You can never go wrong with pizza!

Sandwiches / pizza / side dishes menu

For drinks we ordered Thai tea (which comes with a cookie) which costs 135php and cranberry juice for 75php.

For dessert we ordered their Salted Caramel cheesecake which is also a best-seller. It was love at first bite! ❤

Heaven!

By the time we finished eating, (we weren't able to eat all the pizza so we just opt for take out) there were fog all over the place. We paid first and look at this Thai looking ashtray 😂 which is where they put the bill..

What is money? Paper only!

Fog outside 😍

Here are other pictures inside Cafe Voila:

If you are looking for an IG perfect place with good food, Cafe Voila is the place to go. Plus the fog on the afternoon makes for a good photoshoot place. Til our next food adventure! 🐷 #AnnThakaw #ThaEatsEverything #BuhayB #THAraKainPo #2017goals
